Volunteers Help Raise Money for Special Olympics

SMSC employees and team members jumped into the icy waters of Prior Lake at the Polar Plunge on February 18.

The annual fundraiser benefitting Special Olympics Minnesota took place on a relatively warm day at Sand Point Beach, although the water was definitely fridged. Several teams from the SMSC participated in the event, and more than $20,000 dollars was matched dollar-for-dollar by the SMSC. About a dozen #SMSCgives volunteers were among those who helped set up for the event the day before the plunge.
