In partnership with the CAP Agency and Second Harvest Heartland in late September, #SMSCgives hosted a food/produce distribution for local families who may be experiencing food insecurity during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the outer parking lot of Dakotah! Sport and Fitness and Playworks, volunteers helped distribute pallets of donated fresh produce to a total of 403 families that drove through, free of charge. As in previous food distribution events, precautions were followed to ensure the health and safety of all volunteers and participants.
